Using this calculator

How to Use This Calculator

For each labour line, enter the number of people, hours per person and hourly rate. Add the material and plant costs and the agreed additions. Use the separate overhead and profit field only where that addition applies. Keep the daily record and supporting costs on the same basis.

Worked Example

Two people working eight hours at £25 per hour produce £400 of labour. Materials of £100 and plant of £50, each with a 10% uplift, bring the subtotal to £565. A further 10% overhead and profit allowance gives £621.50.

Before You Use the Result

Check the agreed daywork rates and additions before using the total. Retain signed sheets, times, delivery tickets and plant records, and avoid recovering the same allowance twice.

For a project that needs a wider review, explore QSEC variation and final-account support alongside The Subbie QS support.
