How to Use This Calculator
Enter the total contract value, first valuation month and number of months. Use your monthly valuation forecast when one exists. Select the approximate S-curve only for an initial illustration. Enter the expected delay between valuation and cash receipt from your project timetable, then add the retention percentage.
Worked Example
A £6,000 forecast with 5% retention produces £5,700 of expected receipts before retention release. Moving the receipt lag changes when money arrives; it does not change the value of work.
Before You Use the Result
This tool forecasts receipts. It does not deduct wages, supplier payments or overheads, so it is not a net cash balance or a profit forecast. Review the forecast when the programme or payment position changes.
For a project that needs a wider review, explore QSEC commercial management support alongside The Subbie QS support.
