Your first site does not need to do it all. It needs to help the right person see your work and contact you.
Start with your trade, area, real photos and a clear way to get in touch. Buy more features when they have a purpose.
Write A Short Brief
List what you do, past jobs and the towns you cover. Gather the logo, contact details and photos you have the right to use.
Use the facts you need to share to choose the page count. Do not add pages just to fill a menu.
The style catches your eye. What pages and features does your first site need?

Know What The Price Covers
The one-page build is free when you take website care at £50 a month. A 2–7 page build costs £299 once. An 8–15 page build costs £699 once. Ask for a quote for more than 15 pages. All sites have monthly care. GoDaddy, domain, hosting and business email costs are agreed and billed on their own.
Get the scope in writing. Check the page count, text, photos, edits and forms. Check who owns the site, plus the domain, hosting and upkeep terms. Ask what extra work costs.

Care For Your Site Each Month
Every site has care at £50 a month. This covers monthly site upkeep and one article each month.
Care is charged on top of any build fee. It has a 12-month minimum term, so care costs £600 for that first term. Domain and hosting cost extra. See what site care covers.
Choose A Style Your Trade Can Use
A painter can show a neat finish. A joiner can show fit and detail. A roofer can show access and repair scope.
The screen grab here shows the live build prices. Check the scope and running costs in your quote.
Keep type, colours and buttons clear. Check the menu, phone link and form on a phone. Make sure the form reaches the right inbox before launch.
